Christine McVay, Senior Associate

Christine McVay joined Fort Point Associates as a Senior Associate in 2014. Ms. McVay has over 20 years of experience in urban planning, environmental consulting, and real estate development. Most recently, Ms. McVay was the Director of Commercial Real Estate and Consulting Services for an independent real estate company in Belmont, MA. In this capacity, she focused on commercial leasing and sales, and consulting with clients and developers on real estate development projects in the Boston area. Previously, Ms. McVay worked for the Town of Lexington as a Senior Planner with a focus on on economic development initiatives to encourage appropriately scaled development and more vibrant uses in historic Lexington Center. She worked with the Historic District Commission to facilitate appropriate zoning changes and development in the commercial districts, in addition to drafting transportation management policies and the affordable housing strategy for the town.

Prior to her work with the Town of Lexington, Ms. McVay oversaw her own consulting firm, specializing in urban planning and economic development. She spearheaded the Cushing Square Overlay District, which encouraged mixed-use development and revitalization of an underutilized commercial district. She also worked with the McLean Hospital Task Force and the consulting team on the redevelopment of McLean Hospital.

Ms. McVay holds a Bachelors of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences in Public Administration with an emphasis in City Planning from San Diego State University, and a Master's of Science in Urban Affairs and City Planning from Boston University.
