FPA led grant work, conceptual flood resilience planning, and community outreach for the Beverly Bass River District Resilience Plan. Our work for this Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) FY23 grant-supported project included: reviewing critical assets within Beverly’s Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) and Coastal Vulnerability Assessment Assets through additional compilation of GIS-based overlays in the Bass River area; identifying design flood elevations for implementation of flood resilience strategies; establishing site conditions to provide the basis for resilience planning; and engaging a wide range of stakeholders within the project area. The project developed flood intervention concepts on a district-wide level that could be implemented at city-owned assets.
